Informazioni sul libro
This is a book about the canoe trip I did with my girlfriend Lynette in August and early September 2009 in the rarely traveled Northern Quebec.
Our journey led down the dangerous rivers which reward travelers with their beauty. Through steep and tumultuous tributary Du Sable, down the Caniapiscau River, wounded by "human progress" (dam built in 1985), yet still wild and untamed to the wide Koksoak River. We passed through Eaton Canyon - rare gem and hardly ever visited by humans, where, according to Naskapi legends lives monster called "Big Otter". Eventually our journey ended in Inuit town of Kuujjuaq, humbled by the never relenting northern weather, yet happy to see what not many people - even Nunavik inhabitants - got to see.
