James's “Lilly” series investigates the relationship between the pixel and the brush stroke through large scale oil paintings which mimic digital imagery. His “Seduction” series focuses upon the female gaze in fashion periodicals; combining female models and a painterly surface. This retrospective includes selected paintings, sculpture, installation work, street art, and mixed media pieces produced between 1988-2010.
