Informazioni sul libro
«Zwerm» is a public performance. In analogy to a swarm of birds or fishes, a group of people clusters together for a few minutes in order to run through the city as though it were one collective body. On the basis of local interaction the swarm moves void of any hierarchy, seemingly without destination and often unpredictable. By play of internal friction and cohesion it changes form dynamically, breaks into pieces, melts together again and suddenly disintegrates.
Swarms are both tantelizing and disturbing, giving them the capacity to create a new enchantement, to put people beyond their boundary. «Zwerm» has no identity, is a hybrid, is impure. It consists of individuals united only on the basis of the common destiny related to the performance. «Zwerm» takes shape on the basis of a continuous coproduction, without master plan, without director. «Zwerm» disintegrates to reappear in another time, on another place and with another constitution.
