Informazioni sul libro
This has been a long term project to document all 30 of my trips to China by transcribing my note books. It includes well over 1000 photos, 50 maps and more words than your average PhD thesis. There is also a log of every loco seen in China during our visits. It's been 5 years in the making and I hope is enjoyable for all those with an interest in China's railways.
This re-posted version of the book is the result of dozens of corrections and suggestions from those who have already seen the book and the previously posted free preview - hopefully all errors are ironed out now. My thanks to all who made corrections!
Having checked out a "hard copy" before posting this, may I reassure viewers that the first ten chapters, produced in MS Publisher and transferred as high res JPEGs, reproduce superbly, even though in preview they look grainy - if anything their repro is better than the Blurb originated chapters.

Born in 1960, my fascination in railways started at an early age and since 1972 I have combined my interest in railways with a passion for photography. After training in surgery between arrival at medical school in 1978 and appointment as a laparoscopic surgeon in 1995, I have continued to take time out to photograph railways all over the world. Out in the real "non-blurb" world I have had 18 books published and my first blurb book - "Requiem for Extreme Steam" was inspired by the efforts of fellow photographer Anthony Guppy and his book about Tehachapi. Married to Irene, we have five children and hope to slow down in our 50s!
