The 'Push Pull' metaphor has been inspired by concepts of light/dark, ideas about the pushing and pulling of light through the seasons and also through the camera lens.



This collection contains one or more images from various series of work, made during 2004-2008, including 'Mother Hood', 'Be My Puppet', 'Cartes de Visites', 'Hollow Tree House' and the 'Self-Portraits'.

Jesse Lyons
England

Jesse is an illustrator, musician and lecturer. She has a BA in Medieval Studies (Birmingham, 1987) and an MA in Photographic Studies (Derby, 1997). She has used dolls, toys and figures in her work since 1996. She runs a Higher National Diploma course in Visual Communication, teaching modules in Photography, Digital Imaging, Contextual Studies, Animation & Moving Image.
