Noted for being one of the fastest growing and most successful airshows in the country, the California Capital Airshow continues to impress after only its eighth year.
Following a stellar lineup in 2010, showcasing the largest gathering of P-38's since WWII, and then again in 2011 with an emotional tribute to 9/11 and a jubilant celebration of the Centennial of Naval Aviation, the 2012 show left spectators in awe.
The year 2013 will be forever known as the year the military went quiet, but the California Capital Airshow did no such thing. From a jet bus to an Alpha Jet, the show rocked the house! Historically, CCAS memorialized the Berlin Airlift by paying homage to Retired Air Force Colonel Gail Halvorsen, also known as the original Candy Bomber, with a fly over of a C-54 and a personal flight for Col. Halvorsen in a DC-3.
