Informazioni sul libro
The hot and cold country in the north charms more and more tourists travelling from all corners of the world. It has been called the land of ice and fire referring to it´s volcanic activity and glaciers. It has also been called the country of light and spectacular views.
Trees are sparse so they don´t obstruct the visability and the air is pure due to the countries northerly position, just south of the arctic.
The western Icelandic poet, Stefan G. Stefansen, refered to the Icelandic summer as "the nightless world of eternal spring were the panoramic view shines". The poet is thinking of home, while in a far away country, and is missing the bright summer nights.
The long daylight is a favourite of photographers who wish document and take home a memory of a coutnry, that still has the opportunity to preserve untouched areas which are without parallel in the world.
