Underlying Ontario's Killarney Provincial Park are some of the oldest rock formations in North America. The natural and cultural landscape of the park has evolved, and continues to evolve, from this unique geology.

Where there is now soil and life there once was only rock. These worlds began in the smallest of places: in the cracks, crevices, and blemishes of the rocks that support them. There is a beauty and complexity in these growing worlds that make them a captivating subject for photography.

In this collection of photographs, Nicole Rulff explores the natural worlds that exist on the exposed ridges of Killarney Provincial Park. Each of these worlds represent the beginnings of what could become a great wilderness.
