This event gives us the opportunity to present an aesthetic vision based on the balance of Yin and Yang / Black & White and on symbolic themes of China through history.
“Anything can be described in terms of Yin and Yang, which are both in a relation of:
-opposition, given that each of them contains the seeds of the other.
-interdependence, the one not to be conceivable without the other one, the excess leading to an unbalance.
-engendering and mutation, such as the day following the night.”
From this conception of yin and yang, Yannick Verdier-Monsegur presents his work of duality between shadow and light, through the use of black & white.
