Informazioni sul libro
"Historia de una Colección" is the story of the toy soldier collection of Jorge Luis Oría from his first purchase in 1969, to the auction of most of his 7,300 figures in 2013. Throughout more than four decades, Oría gathered a collection of more than 1,000 Lucotte, 4,000 Britains, and one of the most important collections of Argentine figures (Wernicke, Sommer, EG Toys and others).
The book is a detailed, personal and intimate narrative of barters, purchases, auctions, personal decisions about how and what to collect, written in the first person by Jorge Luis Oría and his son, Jorge Ignacio Oría. It tracks the development of toy soldier collection in Argentina in the last decades of the XXth Century and the history of the local "Club del Soldado de Plomo", of which Oría was one of the five founding members.
The book contains more than 200 color photographs, usually full-paged details of sets that truly bring out the beauty of the figures in the collection.
Text is in Spanish.
