‘No Place Called Home’ aims to put across a universal perspective of being homeless. This social issue affects countless people across the world, who feel isolated and not represented. This experience aims to subvert ways of thinking, aiming to bring a new method of perspective to the viewer as a personalised experience. The narrative behind this installation, immerses the viewer into the experience, allowing them to adapt and feel as if they were homeless through a guided narrator. The aim of the piece is to allow the viewer to feel empathetic towards homeless individuals, realising that this could happen to anybody bar the reasons behind it. Most importantly, does this experience make people feel more empathetic towards the homeless helping raise awareness of social issues in our community?
