Danny R. Peralta was born and raised in NYC. After he graduated from NYU's School of Education in 2000 he began working as a youth and community developer. In 2002, he began attending workshops at ICP @ THE POINT and in 2005 was awarded the Jocelyn Benzakin Fellowship for concerned photography. His work is about family and community completing projects like Ma (2007 BRIO Award), LOVE LIVES (call for trauma relief) and most recently En Foco’s Photo Legacy Award-winning ‘Bout that Life. In 2015, Danny became the Executive Managing Director of THE POINT, leading revitalization efforts in the South Bronx. Currently, he is an MFA Candidate at the ICP/Bard (‘20).
