Informazioni sul libro
This book depicts photos taken during a sailing week, in the Northern Sporades complex, covering the Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos islands, in July 2009, at the exception of the ones in pages 101,107, that refer to the ancient marble quarries, in Alyki, Thassos island (June 2009). No editing was effected, except for some touches related to white balance and cropping.
I have always been bemused by the boats' vivid colours and their reflections, often alienating water into surreal or abstract paintings. Astonishing colour combinations that Nature offers sometimes too abundantly, for the eye to notice.
My humble artistic intentions do not extend beyond sharing, with present and future friends, the esthetic fulfillment that these photos offer to me. It would be a source of inspiration and great pleasure, should these photos offer a reciprocal joy.
