Informazioni sul libro
We recently created a video/art series called “Quarantined Portraits”. The project evolved from painting self-portraits on Facebook Live to painting all types of creative professionals throughout the world. I interviewed these artists about how quarantine was affecting their creative practice, and the results were astounding.
While each portrait was a unique learning experience, a few of the unexpected highlights were connecting with a stunt-man who played Black Panther in Avengers: Endgame, the creator of Strawberry Shortcake, an actor who played John Laurens from Hamilton on Broadway, one of the Gregory Brothers who created the viral hit–Songify The News, and so many other amazing creators.
It has been a humbling and inspiring experience, to say the least. It was so therapeutic to get my mind off of myself during this pandemic and learn about how others are feeling, working, and living out their best life despite the circumstance.
****A portion of the proceeds from book sales will be donated to Project Hope. Project Hope places "power in the hands of local health care workers to save lives across the globe." Currently, they are working to vaccinate people in hard-to-reach areas of the world.****
